Bitdefender (Windows)
Bitdefender may block the Produce8 Desktop Agent or Desktop App from communicating properly if network access is restricted. To ensure reliable data collection and updates, the following executables must be allowed outbound internet access.
Applies to: Windows devices only
This guide assumes Bitdefender is installed on a Windows endpoint.
Network Policy Requirements
The Produce8 Agent and Desktop App require access to the internet. Ensure your Bitdefender network or firewall policies allow outbound traffic for the following paths:
C:\Program Files\Produce8-Agent\Produce8-Agent.exe
C:\ProgramData\Produce8-Agent-Updater\Produce8-Agent-Updater.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Produce8\app-0.0.32\Produce8.exe
⚠️ The Desktop App path may vary slightly depending on the installed version.
Best Practices
- Allow outbound connections for the paths listed above
- Ensure rules apply to all relevant policy scopes (device, group, or global)
- If changes are made after installation, restart the Produce8 Agent or device
Still Having Issues?
If the Agent appears installed but is not reporting data:
- Confirm the Produce8 Agent is running
- Verify Bitdefender is not blocking traffic at a higher policy level
- Refer to the Antivirus & Endpoint Protection Software section of the Produce8 Knowledge Base for additional platform-specific guides
