This article explains how to deploy the Produce8 browser extensions using PowerShell. This method is ideal for RMM-based bulk deployment across multiple devices.
How It Works
The deployment script adds the required registry keys to silently install and enable the Produce8 extension in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, (Safari Coming soon).
Once deployed:
-
The extension will appear automatically for users after a restart of the browser
-
No user interaction is required
🔗 If you haven’t yet generated your browser extension deployment script, follow the steps in How to Find Deployment Scripts in Produce8 to create the correct version based on your needs and browser environment.
🚨 Important Notes
- Run as Administrator: The script must be executed with admin rights to apply registry changes.
- Restart Required: Browsers must be restarted for the extension to appear and take effect.
- User-Friendly Deployment: Extensions appear automatically—users don;t need to install to configure anything themselves.
Deployment Tip
This script can be used as a one-time deployment task via your RMM platform. Make sure it’s executed with admin permissions to allow registry changes.
