New User Onboarding Guide

Quickstart guide to accepting an invitation and joining your company's Produce8 account.

Welcome to Produce8! If you're reading this, that likely means that you've been invited to join your team's Produce8 account. In addition to being an enthusiastic welcome, this guide will walk you through getting your profile set up, creating a personal workspace to view your own digital work patterns.

Before we start with the "how-tos", here's a bit about us. We help digital teams understand how they use their technology and time. Our goal is to help everyone recover an hour every day and create space for people to do great work. Optimizing team workflows requires data so we can have effective communications about work , make improvements, and measure the impact of those changes.

Step 1: Accept The Invitation

Once the Owner of your Produce8 account has set up your account and added you, you will receive an invitation. Follow these steps to get your account set up:

  1. You will either receive an invitation email or receive a Shareable Link. If using the Shareable Link you can also choose to join directly by clicking on the link provided.
  2. If using the invitation email, select Go see the invitation.
  3. Enter your Full Name, Work Email, and choose a Password (stronger is always better).
  4. Save your credentials to your Password Manager of choice.
  5. Check the email address that you used in step 2 for an email from no-reply@produce8.com, subject: Verify Email Address. It might take a few moments to arrive.
  6. Enter your Verification Code to finish creating your account.
  7. Next, you'll be directed to our Onboarding Wizard where you'll be welcomed enthusiastically and then prompted to install our Extensions.

Step 2: Connect To The Produce8 Extensions

Follow the prompts when you first create your account to set up the Browser and Desktop Extensions or set them up via the My App Connections page in the app. You’ll need to complete this step in order to send activities from your subscribed Web and Desktop tools and view them in your Timeline.

When you install the Browser Extension, make sure that you're using your work profile on a supported browser.  The Browser Extension can only access and send your activity from the web apps that you've opted to subscribe to on the browser profile that it's installed on.

Step 3: Set Up Your Personal Workspace

Customize your Workspace by ensuring Subscriptions to your core work tools, collaboration stack, and even potential distractions are added in your Personal Workspace

If you are using Zoom, Slack, or Microsoft Teams ensure you set up the direct integrations to bring call times and durations into Produce8.

This allows you to understand your unique work patterns and visualize your digital workday in private.

Avoid creating Subscriptions to browsers such as Chrome, Brave, or Edge as this can result in inaccurate data.

Step 4: Prepare For Insights

Download the Mobile App to access your Personal Insights, Top Apps, and Goals from anywhere.

Watch for your Daily Report delivered straight to your inbox each morning. These insights provide valuable information about your work habits, helping you understand your workflow and make meaningful changes.

Step 5: Understand Your Digital Work Patterns

Your Personal Insights serve as a powerful tool for gaining insights into your work habits and patterns. They empower you to make informed decisions to optimize your workday for improved focus, balance, and well-being.

Ensure you are regularly reviewing your Insights to stay informed about your digital work patterns:

  • While it’s hard to see patterns directly from the Timeline, it does provide a snapshot of your day.
  • The Metrics tab at the top of your Personal Workspace allows you to see the donut chart summary which will give you the breakdown of your day by illustrating the amount of time that you spent in each App as well as the time in calls for each app.
  • To see patterns over time look at your Trends, and by using Heatmaps, you can see what an average day looks like over a longer period of time.

Your daily Personal Insights provide you with a window to a deeper understanding of your work habits.

Step 6: Set Some Goals

Personal Goals help you take charge of your workday and create a productive & healthy routine. Whether you aim to minimize distractions, improve digital wellbeing, or elevate your work output, Personal Goals are your tool for success.

Pick what matters the most for your workdays and set a Goal!
